About

This is a six day retreat that combines traditional group bereavement support with two group psilocybin experiences.

Parents are screened for safety and suitability by our staff members and we work in partnership with traditional therapists. There are group and individual preparation sessions over four to six weeks before the retreat.

At the retreat, we balance time between bereavement-support activities and activities that are restful, grounding and restorative. We’ll come together three times a day for meals on most days, and meet at least once, and sometimes twice every day in a formal conversational body to continue the work that was begun one-on-one by parents with their individual guide to prepare for the group mushroom experiences.

There are two group mushroom experiences, one on the second day of the retreat, the other on the fourth day. While they are offered as group experiences, we provide intensive individualized support to every participant.

The last days of the retreat are dedicated to rest and integration of the mushroom experience. They are followed by group and individual Zoom sessions for integration and access to an ongoing group integration session open to all parents who have attended a past retreat.

We recently completed a Parents Retreat November 19 - 25, 2024.

Our next retreat is scheduled for April 27 - May 3, 2025.

It was like nothing I’ve ever expected to connect on such an emotional level to others.  The words and emotions expressed by the other mothers were so many times exactly what was inside of me, that just blew me away and the connections were just so deep.
